Play Park Construction
Hadash Newspaper featured a full page article on the new parks parading into Beit Shemesh. The first park to go up in RBSA is chronicled in 16 photos the newspaper carried and this slideshow. Mini bulldozers dug ditches to hold the posts for the shades, workers poured cement and rubber matting, a three tiered slides play park went up with swings and other mitkanim. I was pleased to see the faces of delighted kids who first discovered the changes to the once barren area. Six more parks are slated to follow in our neighborhood alone, another four in Beit Shemesh and seven who have already been implemented in surrounding neighborhoods. Building a new Mikva in Beit Shemesh
A dinner was held to raise funds for the completion of the Chabad Mikva in Ramat Beit Shemesh Alef. 150,000 NIS were raised at the evening. Mayor Abutbul blessed the efforts of the attendees and donated to the mikva fund.
