Jewish Funeral in Israel

A Jewish funeral in Israel is without much fanfare. Simple in decor, a prayer exalting G-d, words from the children and grandchildren on how much she had meant to them and influence them to be better people.  It is the beginning of "shiva", seven days of mourning and kaddish.  In todays world of cremations, it is a gentle, natural, green, return to the earth.  It reminds us of our humanity and time limits.
